Non-Competitive, Pre-Competitive & Musical Theatre
With over twenty-four years of dance training in a multitude of disciplines including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Lyrical and Hip Hop as well as fourteen years of teaching experience at the recreational, competitive, and examination levels, Miss Nikky is no stranger to the stage. She started performing at the tender age of five and did so professionally for ten years, four of which she spent performing internationally!
A born and raised Ontario girl, Nikky recently moved to Bowden after coming off of her fifth North American tour. Before that, she pursued an education in the arts at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts in their Triple Threat Program. Upon graduating from RAPA, Nikky continued her studies and obtained numerous accreditations from the Royal Academy of Dance as well as a teaching certification in Jazz from the Performing Arts Educators of Canada.
Since 2017, Nikky has operated as emcee and a key facilitator of the SHINE Dance Competitions on their regional and national level competitions.
A born performer, Nikky found that she not only has a passion for dance at an individual level but also revels in working with students to nurture their talents and assist in the development of their own technique and unique performance styles. Through personal experience, Nikky has found that the discipline, cohesion, and cooperation that comes from dance not only contribute to the creation of conscious, insightful performers but also bestows the skills necessary to produce thoughtful, well-rounded individuals.
