Abbey Birn’s passion for dance ignited at a very young age, beginning her journey at just two years old. Throughout her formative years, Abbey trained at some of the most prestigious institutions in the world, including the Joffrey School of Ballet, the School of Alberta Ballet, and the American Music and Drama Academy. Each of these experiences shaped her into a well-rounded and skilled dancer, providing her with a solid foundation in various dance styles and techniques. Outside of dance, Abbey’s talents extend to the world of pageantry. She was crowned Miss Teen Canadian International 2019 and Miss Junior Teen Northern Alberta 2019, in her pageant career, demonstrating her poise, grace, and charisma both on and off the stage.
At the age of 14, Abbey joined the MYMD family, completing RAD exams and competing in competitions. Over the past five years, Abbey has dedicated herself to teaching and inspiring young dancers, especially those in the pre-competitive program. Her passion for dance shines through in her teaching, where she not only focuses on technique but also encourages her students to grow in both confidence and creativity. Abbey’s approach to teaching is rooted in positivity and encouragement, helping her students build the skills they need while also fostering a love for the art form
